In the Chinese city of Hangzhou, robots have been used to keep the city's streets clean of empty bottles, cigarettes and other rubbish that people leave behind.

According to the Chinese newspaper Peoples Daily, the robot is equipped with an autonomous navigation system and computer vision that can identify debris that does not belong on the streets. It should be able to roll around and pick up rubbish for eight hours on a single charge and during that time collect up to 17.5 kilos of rubbish.

There is no information on who made the robot, how many copies there are or what it costs.
