As of Friday, Instagram has started rolling out a new feature that allows users to access their instant messages even through the browser version of the platform. According to The Verge, Instagram has been testing the new feature since January.

Messages in the browser have access to exactly the same tools as in the app. You can share photos, like, write and use emojis. Web DMs are especially convenient for people who use Instagram all the time, like reporters, influencers, and social media managers. Typing is much faster using a keyboard especially if someone is trying to respond to possibly hundreds of messages a day.
